We crafted a high-energy, high-contrast mobile experience for PBGO, connecting the global pickleball community through seamless court discovery, live game matching, and real-time social play.

The Brief
The pickleball community is growing at lightning speed, yet players still struggle to coordinate games or find local courts. PBGO needed a “Remarkable” digital home that bridged the gap between casual play and professional tracking, powered by a seamless integration with Pickleball.com.
The Work
A Unified Ecosystem
We removed the friction of entry by leveraging the Pickleball.com database. Users can dive straight into the action using their existing credentials, with ratings and player history pre-synced for perfectly balanced matchmaking.
Community-First Navigation
The home dashboard was engineered to prioritize action. By surfacing “Games Near You” and “Friends Looking to Play,” we transformed the app from a static directory into a live, breathing community hub.
Status & Availability
To respect the user’s time, we implemented a robust “Status” system. Players can set specific availability windows and favorite courts, ensuring they only receive game requests that fit their schedule and location.
Notification Logic
Missing a game is a thing of the past. We designed a clear notification hierarchy—separating active game reminders from new requests—to keep the player’s calendar organized and their commitments top-of-mind.
High-Visibility Palette
Pickleball is a sport played under the sun. We designed a high-contrast dark mode using Purple (#572BD6) and Lime Green (#D9F518). These complementary colors aren’t just youthful and energetic; they provide maximum “pop” and legibility in high-brightness outdoor conditions.
Strategic Typography
We paired Work Sans for titles with SF Pro for body copy.
Notification Logic
PBGO successfully bridges the gap between digital coordination and physical play. By focusing on accessibility and real-time community data, we delivered a platform that doesn’t just track games—it creates them.
