The Product

The Objective

Pepperplane was tasked with designing the UX and UI for Klink, an app that uses gamification to help users buy a home. The project required creating a seamless user experience to motivate users to track, manage, and improve their financial habits for homeownership.

The app focuses on goal-setting: users can set a target home price, create savings goals, and track progress. To boost engagement, Klink uses gamified elements like challenges, rewards, milestones, and leaderboards to encourage saving, better spending, and credit score improvement.

The UX design ensures the process is intuitive, allowing users to easily navigate goal-setting, progress tracking, and access financial tips. The UI design features a clean, modern interface with fun elements like progress bars and badges, using color, typography, and icons to create a sense of achievement aligned with advancing users toward homeownership.

The final design aims to make the financial journey effective and enjoyable, using strategic and emotional design principles to keep users engaged and motivated.

the brand

Colour palette

The colour palette for the brand is vibrant and engaging, appealing to their younger target market. There is a subtle link to their partner brand, Keyzy, using Keyzy’s Amber and Navy. The introduction of gradients took the colours to a more dynamic level, and adds dimension to the designs.

Typeface

The primary typeface for Klink is Outfit.
